Simon BrownSoftware Architecture & Data Security
Simon has spent his career building treasury technology for the public sector. He is the architect of TreasuryLive, the CIPFA-endorsed platform local authorities across the UK use to manage their deals, daily cash flow and risk, and looks after the architecture and security of PWLBtoday.
Prior to this, he delivered the first exchange interface for NASDAQ Europe and developed trading systems at Goldman Sachs. He also built Patient Rescue, an NHS AI platform at University College London that used blood tests from two million hospital admissions to flag patients at risk — later built on by Google DeepMind.
Earlier still, in the advanced technology departments of Arup and Rolls-Royce, he worked on stopping the Millennium Bridge wobbling, created a database to help resolve the Hatfield rail disaster, and worked on the Airbus A380 engine design. He also engineered car design for Lotus and Jaguar.
He holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering & Finance from the University of Nottingham.
Simon likes cooking, bonsai trees and is mediocre at electric guitar, and hates running.
